Jonathan Poston qualified as an osteopath over 25 years ago. Not only has he been in clinical practice all that time he has also been involved in education (as a senior tutor on the osteopathic degree course at Oxford Brookes University for seven years) and was at the forefront of the development of the osteopathic profession, as a founding council member of the British Osteopathic Association.
He continues to work in his busy practice in Manchester as well as with colleagues in Matlock, Derbyshire where he now lives. As well as human patients he has a busy equine practice while the rest of his time is taken up looking after and working with his horses: Finn, Gracie and Cassie.
Jonathanís style of osteopathy, honed over many years, is gentle and effective. He uses traditional structural osteopathic and soft-tissue techniques in combination with cranial osteopathy and craniosacral therapy.
The diversity of his practice is best expressed by those who recommend him: local midwives send new mums to him with their new babies (he worked in the past at the Osteopathic Centre for Children), he treats musicians (he has a contract with the Halle orchestra) and he also treats dancers who work in Manchester theatres (he is registered with Dance UK).
Osteopaths treat a lot more than JUST bad backs!
His osteopathic treatment is recognised by AXA PPP, Norwich Union and all good insurance companies.
